Buccaneer Homes is one of the oldest recognizable brands in the Southeast. Founded in 1971 by industry pioneer Steve Logan to serve the low end affordable housing market, Buccaneer was the first to market with 1,200 square foot single-wide homes, later branching out to multi-section models. In the 1990s, Buccaneer was acquired by Cavalier, then discontinued in 2000 when the market slumped. It was re-introduced in 2005 throughout the 11 states of the Southeast region.
