Introducing a five-part video series by Hart Housing Group Inc. George Porter a well known installation man in the industry was hired by Hart Housing to film a video series about site preparation.   Hart Housing wanted something to give to their customers who were interested in preparing their sites. This video series is professionally done with over two hours of viewing.

Video 1: Site Preparation and Foundations is a 30-minute video that takes you through the basics of preparing your site in regards to drainage, soil types and determining size of footings for load bearing points under your home. The foundation must be set on a properly prepared surface if you're going to enjoy your home for years to come. After viewing this first video you will know exactly what will be required when it comes to preparing the ground for your foundation.

Video 2: Home Installation shows a concrete foundation with perimeter walls. In this video you learn what takes place once your home has been delivered to your site. You will see how a home is rolled onto a concrete foundation and installed properly. You will learn how to be sure your home is level and how to have a tight seal at the marriage lines.

Video 3: Exterior Trim-Out will teach you how to finish the end-walls with vinyl siding. You will also learn how to connect the electrical and water crossovers.  Other topics discussed are, installing the drainage system, gas connections and air conditioning installation. Basically everything you need to know about finishing the outside of your home is in this video.

Video 4: Interior Trim-Out will teach you how to trim out the marriage line and interior walls. If your home has sheet rock you'll learn the basic methods for taping and texturing. You will also learn how to install interior doors and moldings. Installing carpets and carpet seaming are discussed, how to install ceiling fans and much more are illustrated in this video.

Video 5: Final Inspection (Walk-Through) shows you how to inspect your home and what to look for. This is an important step making sure everything has been done properly. In this video you will learn how to do a thorough inspection from top to bottom. Areas covered are: siding, windows, marriage line, kitchen cabinets, interior doors, gas connections, appliances and much more. This video is an invaluable tool for making sure your home has been set-up properly. If there is a problem or something needs to be repaired this is the time to point it out and write it down.
